Cunningham Creek Winery & Brewery is located between Charlottesville and Richmond on the Monticello Wine Trail, named by Wine Enthusiast as the wine region of the world for 2024. We are just 20 minutes from Jefferson’s Monticello, hiking trails, the Rivanna and James Rivers and local fruit orchards.
There’s plenty of seating for you, your family and friends both inside and outside. Seating in our tasting room and outdoor space is available on a first come, first served basis. Glasses, flights and bottles of wine and glasses, flights, pitchers and growlers of beer are available. For groups of 8 or more, flights may not be available depending on staffing.
Our indoor seating offers a choice of tables, chairs, and couches. We generally light our wood-burning fireplace on weekends during the colder weather. Outdoors you can choose from tables on our deck, Adirondack chairs, covered pergolas with tables or our large lawn. You are welcome to bring additional folding chairs or your own blankets for the lawn area. We are happy to light our propane firepits on chilly days and nights.

Our Community Room is available for small group events and can accommodate approximately 30 guests. It’s perfect for showers, birthdays and retirements, as well as off-site business meetings. Please email for more information about reserving it for your special event.
For large events, our tasting room can seat 70 guests and is available for large groups Sunday through Saturday. It’s ideal for small weddings, rehearsal dinners, celebration of life events and holiday parties.
Food trucks
We have food trucks scheduled on Saturdays—time depends on the season. Check our Events page for the upcoming food truck schedule.
Pizzas
We bake and serve locally made sourdough pizza from Olive Branch Gardens when we do not have a food truck on site. We offer cheesy, white garlic with pesto, and seasonal pizzas, as well as gluten free. Pizza orders are accepted until the food truck opens and until 30 minutes before close.
Charcuterie and snack items
Our farm store offers a large selection of create your own charcuterie items such including cheeses, hummus, crackers, and nuts. Cville Chocolates and Nightingale ice cream sandwiches make great sweet treats.
Picnics
You are welcome to bring in your own picnic foods outside anytime and inside, except when we have a food truck on site. Please support our Food Trucks! Virginia ABC law prohibits bringing any alcohol on premises.
Our tasting room, outdoor lawn and deck are non-smoking/non-vaping. Smoking and vaping are only permitted by the smoker’s poles in the parking lot.
We currently offer customized wine flights, traditional tastings, glasses and bottles.
Your choice of 5 wines from a rotating selection of approximately 10 wines. Wine flights customers receive a 10% discount on bottle purchases. Flight service ends 30 minutes before closing and is not available during live music, Team Trivia and Music Bingo.
Perfect for people who want to go beyond casually drinking wine to enjoying each wine’s nuances, learning how it was made, its unique characteristics and pairing ideas. Make a reservation and let us know your wine preferences. Either our winemaker or one of our wine educators will prepare a traditional tasting of 5 wines for your group of 2-6 people.
We offer 6 beers on tap, which are available by glass, flight, pitcher or growler. Flights are a selection of 5 beers available on tap.

Brix’s Amber and Crush’s Kolsh are an ongoing collaboration project with our friends at Decipher Brewing in Charlottesville. All other beers are brewed on-site.

For those who prefer a non-alcoholic drink, we offer non-alcoholic beer in cans and a delicious seasonal mocktail.
Want to know more about how wine is made? Reserve a private tour of the winery with our winemaker. Learn about the winemaking process as our winemaker, Bruce, guides you through the tank room, crush pad and barrel room. In the barrel room and/or tank room, you’ll enjoy a special sampling from our wines in process and your tour will culminate with a guided wine tasting.
This is a perfect gift for wine lovers celebrating any occasion–birthday, anniversary, reunion or just a special day! We regret we cannot offer tours on Saturday but we’d love to schedule your tour on Thursday, Friday or Sunday.

Corky, Crush and Brix are resident winery dogs that roam freely. They love kids, other dogs and treats. But they do get sick if given people food so please do not feed them anything but dog treats (available at the register).
Leashed dogs who are fully vaccinated and accustomed to being around other dogs and people are always welcome outside. They are welcome in the tasting room EXCEPT during live music and special events including Trivia, Music Bingo and Wine Club. They can only be off-leash in the fenced dog park with adult supervision—so grab a glass/bottle of wine and relax with your pup. Water and poop bags are available.
Please do not feed your dog or put out toys for your dog while visiting CCW. Dogs are dogs and don’t always share well. Thank you for your cooperation.
Be sure to taste our new Herd Dog White. We donate $1 for every bottle sold to Green Dogs Unleashed, former homes for Crush and Brix.
Absolutely! We offer custom wine flights which include 5 wines from a rotating selection. We also offer traditional tastings by reservation which include 5 wines paired with either cheese or chocolates served at your table. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you through the tasting experience, providing insights into each wine’s unique characteristics and the winemaking process.
Yes, we have 4 beers on tap. Beer is available by the glass and pitcher.
Yes, we love to host corporate event, intimate weddings, birthday celebration, baby and bridal showers or any special occasion in our Community Room. We can accommodate up to 35 people depending on the type of event you are planning. Our team can assist you in customizing your event, from wine selections to catering options, to ensure it exceeds your expectations.
You can purchase our wines for pick up in our tasting room or shipping to 40 states.
We do not take reservations for tasting room visits–seating is first come, first seated. We do take reservations for winery tours, Music Bingo, Team Trivia, and classes. For large groups, we do have a private room, Community Room, which is available by reservation for a fee.
Yes! We welcome families and have a large outdoor space perfect for games and picnics. We have board games inside that can be checked out. Children must be supervised at all times.
Yes! Leashed dogs who are fully vaccinated and accustomed to being around other dogs and people are always welcome outside. Our winery dogs, Crush, Corky & Brix, wander freely on the grounds and are happy to meet other friendly dogs. We have a fenced dog park where your dog can play off-leash. Leashed dogs are welcome inside except during live music and special events including Trivia, Music Bingo and Wine Club events. Please remember that dogs will be dogs. To avoid canine conflicts do not feed your dog at the winery or bring special dog toys when you visit.
We have locally made pizzas which we bake in our pizza oven and a large selection of cheeses, sliced meats, hummus, crackers, nuts, chocolates and ice cream. We have a food truck on Saturdays and during Music Bingo and Team Trivia–please check the Events page for current information.
Outside food for children is allowed at all times. Outside food for adults is allowed in our outdoor spaces at all times. When there is a food truck on site, we ask you to support our local food vendors and not bring outside food in the tasting room. We have a food truck during live music on Saturdays and during our monthly Music Bingo and Team Trivia nights. We request all our food vendors to have a vegetarian option and some also have a gluten free option. Please see our Events page on our website or our FB page for details.
ABC regulations prohibit you from bringing in any type of alcoholic beverage, including CCW wine that was previously purchased.
No, all types of smoking and vaping are prohibited inside as well as on our lawn and deck areas. Smoking is only allowed at the smoker’s pole in the parking lot.
